Abstract

Problem statement: general view and its connection with important scientific or practical tasks. Today, the world is undergoing changes related to an innovative approach to the spheres of: production, services, education, health, culture through the introduction of information and communication technologies. Digital technologies replace the classical approaches to the development of various areas of human activity. Except the traditional changes in the field of economics, the digital transformation has penetrated widely into the sphere of culture, namely the sphere of museum affairs. These trends have exacerbated the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has accelerated the introduction of telecommuting, tightened anti-epidemic bans on public places, and minimized social mobility. Analyzed problem has given a significant impact to changes in the field of museum work, associated with the introduction of various opportunities for digital technologies. Analysis of recent publications in sphere of research and identification of previously unresolved parts of the general problem. A number of issues related to the introduction of information and communication technologies in the field of museum affairs have been studied by national and foreign researchers, namely: Barkova O., Winters J., Hendziurovska O., Holovei V., Kulchytskyi I., Lelyk M., Povroznyk N., Rozghon O., Stoliarchuk N. and others. Taking into account the relevance and prospects of digital development in the sphere of museum activity, it is necessary to explore the features of the digital transformation of the museum affairs and consider possible areas of development based on innovative technologies. The aim of the article is to study the features of digital development in the field of museum affairs and determine its current areas of transformation, taking into account global trends. Main results. The article deals with the issues related to the area of digital development in the field of museum affairs, taking into account modern innovative changes related to the introduction of information and communication, as well as digital technologies. The aim of the article is to study the features of digital development in the field of museum affairs and determine its current areas of transformation, taking into account global trends. The research proved that the storing electronic sources is becoming increasingly complex and urgent in view of the rapid growth of content production. Creation and development of museum information resources allow creating a special segment of web space with high social and cultural value. The focus of modern discussions about the digital transformation of museums are issues of changing the role of museums, their impact on society and creating effective ways to interact with the audience through digital means. The processes of digital transformation are quite wide, one of the areas is the digital European integration of Ukraine, which reflects the national vector of development and identification of Ukraine. The analysis of current research on the application of digital technologies in the museum affairs and in the field of cultural heritage revealed a variety of thematic areas that they cover: in particular with regard to the issues of integration changes in culture and cultural heritage related to the development of the global information and digital society. Virtual reality is aimed at creating an imitation of objective reality or reflection of the world via the Internet, audiovisual, electronic means of communication, 3D simulation technologies. Conclusions. Further actions to implement the digital development of the museum affairs should include the development of state policy aimed at creating digital archives; development of museums in accordance with modern information requirements; adequate funding for activities aimed at further expanding the means of digital transformation in the field of culture; expansion of communication of the society with the sphere of museum affairs on the basis of introduction of modern means of distance interaction.
