Abstract
This study is primarily aimed at analyzing the effect of the achievement goal orientation of students in middle and high school participating in sports club on sports confidence and exercise emotion. To achieve this goal, students from middle and high schools in Seoul were selected as a population in 2018. The convenience sampling method was used to select 314 participants. The questionnaires were used to collect data. A multi-regression analysis was conducted using the 23.0 version for the statistics program SPSS/PC Window. Based on the above research methods and procedures, results are the followings. First, it was found that the achievement goal orientation of middle and high school sports club participants has a partial impact on sports confidence. Second, it was found that the achievement goal orientation of middle and high school sports club participants has a partial impact on exercise emotion. Third, it was found that sports confidence of middle and high school sports clubs participants has a partial impact on exercise emotion. Through this study, we can confirm that the achievement goal orientation of middle and high school sports club participants affects sports confidence and exercise emotion. Therefore, physical education teachers and educators should constantly explore the new tasks and teaching strategies that can enhance the achievement goal of middle and high school students, and use this research as a basis for planning and operation of school sports clubs in the future.
