Abstract

Introduction. Issues of sustainable development of the national economy have always been regarded of great importance in the scientific community. A large number of works have been devoted to the issues of state regulation in sustainable development of the fuel and energy complex. However, under modern economic conditions, when the fuel and energy complex acquires elements of geopolitical influence instruments, the issue becomes particularly relevant. The development of the national economy is impossible without the quality and systematic development of the fuel and energy complex and its individual sectors, and therefore there is a need to study theoretical aspects that can lay down the basis for the formation of the state policy in a sustainable development of the fuel and energy complex. Aims. Investigation of state regulation features in a sustainable development of fuel and energy complex functioning in unstable geopolitical situation The following methods were used: theoretical research, system analysis. Results. The basic mechanisms of state regulation of sustainable development have been defined. The main structural elements of the state regulation mechanism in the fuel and energy complex have been revealed. Direct and indirect regulation methods of sustainable development of the fuel and energy complex have been developed. The role of investment and innovation policy of the state in ensuring the conditions for a sustainable development of the fuel and energy sector have been outlined. Conclusion. Ensuring conditions for sustainable development of the fuel and energy complex is only possible with an active participation of the state. The state possesses all the necessary levers of influence for the sustainable development of the fuel and energy complex. Implementation of the sustainable development mechanism in the fuel and energy sector is possible through the creation of a multi-functional state development program.
