Abstract

The methods of biometric identification and successful combination of these methods for increasing efficiency of biometric systems that will improve protection against unauthorized access. Modern methods of biometric identification are leaders in the security market, through the basic superiority ‒ conducted identification based on physiological characteristics of the person, not the key or card. In addition, biometric scanners are practically don't impede security and the cost of certain biometric methods is very low. The basic advantages and disadvantages of biometric identification methods were discussed. Combined methods of biometric identification were proposed: fingerprint + iris; fingerprint + facial image (2D and 3D); facial image (2D) + facial image (3D), which will increase protection from unauthorized access. As a result of combining the methods of biometric identification increase of accuracy and reliability in terms of the possibility of fraud was achieved, as it is more difficult to forge a number of biometric characteristics than one biometric feature.
