Abstract

The purpose of this study is to meta-analyze the effects of yoga training on physical health. The main conclusions are as follows. First, yoga training is effective in the order of physical fitness, metabolic index, and body composition. There is a difference in effectiveness in the order of the elderly, middle age, and 20 years or under. Second, 20 years or under has effect in the order of physical fitness and body composition. Middle age has effect in the order of physical fitness, body composition and metabolic index. The elderly has effect in the order of physical fitness, metabolic index, and body composition. All ages have the greatest effect on physical fitness. Third, as for effectiveness according to the frequency of participation, it is effective in the order of 3 times, 4 times or more, and 2 times or less. For participation in 20 years or under & middle age, it is most effective in more than 4 times, and that of elderly people is less than 2 times. As for exercise time, it is effective in the order of 50 minutes, 60 minutes and 90 minutes or more. 60 minutes for those under 20 years old, and 50 minutes for middle-aged & elderly people are effeicvte. The program operates effectively in the order of 11~19 people, less than 10 people, and more than 20 people. It is effective to constitute less than 10 people for the elderly & 20 years or under and 11~19 people for middle age.
