Abstract

The authors consider development of a method to automatically determine the size of defects on the surface of a gas turbine engine (GTE) blade during fluorescent penetrant inspection applying computer vision. The article discusses the main approaches to scanning the surface of a GTE blade, a method to search luminescence on the surface of a GTE blade, as well as a method to calculate the size and position of a defect on the surface of a GTE blade.
