Abstract

The research sheds light on the Jurisprudence rulings related to the priority of supererogatory prayers in the mosque over the house. Objectives: The research clarifies the concept of supererogatory prayers in the mosque, and to limit the supererogatory prayers that are desirable in the mosque over the house and a congregation. Research also highlights a jurisprudential study compared to the evidences and weighted opinions upon these issues. Research method: the descriptive analytical method. The major results: The research included some results, including: Sharia’s concern for prayer and persistence to perform it, the legality of performing supererogatory prayers in mosques at all. Therefore, the jurists, may Allah have mercy upon them, agreed on the priority of performing the prayers in the mosque in places such as: around the Kaaba, behind the shrine, the honorable Raudah, Quba Mosque, the one coming from travelling, prayer of greeting of the mosque, and before the Friday prayer. The important results: Researchers should pay attention of topics that some people may overlook, even if those topics are scattered in books of jurisprudence. The collecting, editing and facilitating those topics for the students is a great importance, as the researchers should show the legal ruling that it may be clear and identified.
