Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the interaction factors of trust structure formed by golf players and caddies based on the trust formation proposed by Bulter(1991), and the casual process between social-psychology and performance of golf players. First, caddy trust factor perceived by golf player through open-ended questionnaire were four areas: social sympathy, competitive ability, psychological skill, and empathic listening. Also, caddy distrust factors perceived by golf players were three areas: conflict in competition, poor performance, lack of social skills. Based on this factors, the relationship between social-psychological relation, trust and distrust was verified. As a result, the ability of caddy is important factor to increase trust and reduce the distrust with caddy. In particular, goodwill was a factor that greatly increased trust. On the other hand, in the case of sincerity factor, it was found to increase both trust and distrust with caddy.
