Abstract

In recent years, irrigation ponds which avoided maintenance for less irrigation demand increased. Hydrophytes, which grow in irrigation ponds, are affected by habitual maintenance, such as water release with water utilization. In this study, we grasped habitual maintenance of small irrigation ponds for hydrophytes conservation in Nakatado region of Kagawa Prefecture by a questionnaire. It was indicated that presence of hydrophytes in irrigation ponds was influenced by maintenance of pond, and many pond managers had a good impression for these plants.
