Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of Taekwondo coaching leadership on the athlete's self-esteem, and to empirically investigate whether the athlete's sports commitment and sports confidence play a mediating role. A total of 665 questionnaires were collected from Taekwondo athletes. SPSS and AMOS 26.0 were using a total of 616 samples, excluding 49 invalid samples. The results of the study are as follows. All measurement variables had a statistically significant positive effect on the relationship between Taekwondo coaching leadership and athlete’s self-esteem, the relationship between Taekwondo coaching leadership and athlete's sports commitment, the relationship between Taekwondo coaching leadership and athlete's sports confidence, and the relationship between the athlete's sports commitment sports confidence, and self-esteem. By investigating the mediating effect of athlete's sports commitment and sports confidence, athlete's sports commitment and sports confidence partially mediated the relationship between Taekwondo coaching leadership and athlete’s self-esteem.
