Abstract
Supraspinous ligaments and interspinous ligaments, which were taken during surgery, were observed by SEM in order to clarity degenerative findings and ossification process of the ligaments.The observation of the ligaments in young persons showed that the fibers formed a dense and regular pattern.In older persons the fibers formed a large and wavy pattern and were separated into branches.Closer to the ossification, various degenerative changes were observed such as thickness of the fibers, disappearance of structure of the ligaments, invasion of blood vessels and Others.
