Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of a new phenomenon of complexive that has not been studied in modern linguistics yet and arises in the situations of verbal communication. The authors consider the main characteristics of colloquial speech, the nature of complexive, and the peculiarities of its functioning. The purpose of the work is to reveal, describe, systematize and substantiate the peculiarities of complexive as a new stylistic means by the material of modern English-language films. The scientific novelty of the research is in the identification and description of complexive as a new stylistic means basing on the analysis of characters’ utterances in modern English-language films. The result of the study is the systematization of the found examples of the phenomenon of complexive and their classification.
