Abstract

This study is to understand the degree of satisfaction in the professional baseball players in Korea, and is aim to provide it as fundamental data which are to consider efficiency of human resource management in professional football player from now on. To accomplish this goal, the subjects are 176 players who belong to professional baseball group at the present, and conducted questionnaire survey by Self-administration method. The selected data which using SPSS for Win V10.0 conducted frequency, factor analysis, One-way ANOVA, and, F-test. Through processes above mentioned, following conclusions came out. Firstly, considering the matter of the degree of satisfaction according to annual salary, the group of which less 80 million won shows that value factor is high, the group of which less 120 million won shows that the factor of one`s position, role, work, and confirmation are high. Secondly, the matter of the degree of satisfaction according to position is shown that a pitcher is high in work, a catcher is high in value and role, an infielder is high in confirmation, an outfielder is high in one`s position. Thirdly, the matter of ranking participation for an event, the group which is participating as main player in the major league shows that they are high in the factors of value, one`s position, role, work, and the group which is alternative player at the major league shows that they are the highest in the factor of confirmation. Fourthly, as considering the matter of the difference of frequency in the participation for an event, the group which has participating experience more 501 games shows the highest in the factors of value, role, work, and confirmation, and the group which has participating experience less 501 games shows the highest in the factor of one`s position. Fifthly, the group which has players` career more 21 years in total shows the highest satisfaction in the factors of value, one`s position, role, and work. Sixthly, the group which has less 3 years in the professional players` career shows the highest satisfaction in the all the factors, and the group which has less 6 years in the professional players` career shows the lowest satisfaction in the factor of one`s position.
