Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of the importance of the development of functional literacy of students in the lessons of history and social disciplines. The paper substantiates the importance of using activity-based teaching methods that contribute to the formation of key competencies of the graduate. Examples of tasks for students in history lessons with the aim of developing functional literacy are given.
