Abstract

This study investigated the importance of play-centered early childhood(infants and toddlers) education from the perspective of Christian education in a time when play emerged as an important core of the national-level early childhood curriculum. This study would like to analyze the core problems encountered when realizing play-centered early childhood Christian education, and explore alternatives and strategies. The research problems of this study are as follows. 1) Why is play important for early childhood (Christianity) education? 2) What are the problems encountered when implementing play-oriented education in the field of early childhood education, and how is the problem discussed in General Education of Early Childhood? 3) What is the Christian educational response and strategy to these problems?.<BR> This study presents Christian educational alternatives focusing on four key issues of play-oriented education that are discussed in general early childhood education. In other words, we present early childhood pedagogical discussions and Christian educational responses and strategies on issues of play and curriculum relationships, problems of teacher intervention, play type, play environment, and playground.
