Abstract
The purpose of the study is to identify the content specifics of classical and non-classical scientific approaches to the study of ideology and ideological processes in modern and postmodern societies. The scientific novelty lies in the reconstruction of three classical traditions of the study of ideology in modern societies, dating back to the concepts of K. Marx, M. Weber and K. Manheim, as well as in identifying their influence on the formation of non-classical approaches that are applied to the study of ideological processes in postmodern societies. As a result, the similarity and difference of classical and non-classical scientific approaches to the analysis of ideology and ideological processes in modern and postmodern societies are revealed.
