Abstract

The monograph under review is devoted to the socio-political history of the Daur people in the 20th century. The scientist wrote the work at a high scientific level. The author analyzed the role of Daurian figures in significant political and revolutionary events in Hulun Buir and in adjacent territories (Mongolia, Russia, and other regions of China). The monograph followed a chronological principle and had a large source base. The work consistently studied the history of the Daurian people during the periods of the Qing Empire, the Republic of China, Manchukuo, the Republic of China, and the People's Republic of China. The researcher also paid special attention to aspects of Daurian culture and education.
