Abstract
In this paper, a dual-current control scheme is presented for the stable operation of a hydroelectric device in which an energy storage device is connected to wind power output under three-phase unbalanced grid voltage. For the feasibility of the proposed algorithm, a model of Jeju Sangmyung Wind Power Plant, which will be operated in conjunction with BESS (Battery energy storage system) and WED (Water electrolysis device), was selected. In the computer analysis, the PSCAD/EMTDC computer analysis program showed stable operation of 260 ㎾ WED and 500 ㎾h BESS under 15% unbalanced grid voltage. The results of the analysis are good under unbalanced voltage conditions, and it is expected that the WED and BESS will be useful for operation by connecting renewable energy.
