Abstract
Development of tourism and transport infrastructure closely related and interwoven process. Tourism as mass phenomenon was a result of nascence and development of transport. It’s admitted fact. However emergence of transport area as direction of social-geographic research happened in the middle of XIX century. Before that transport infrastructure just had been forming, evolving and making direct influence on the world’s travelling at all. Main stages of conception and development of transport infrastructure of Europe in the context of territorial spreading of tourism are considered in this article.
