Abstract
In the surgical management of parotid gland tumors, it is very important to know the relationships beteen tumors and facial nerves preoperatively. However, it is not always easy to understand the relations precisely.In this study, the relationships in 10 patients with benign parotid tumors were evaluated by a myomonitor. The result was that the relationships evaluated by the myomonitor were precicely same as the surgical findings in all cases.This method is simple and useful to predict the relationships between benign parotid tumors and facial nerves preoperatively.
