Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the difference of health promoting behavior and intention on sports continuance according to the lifestyle of Korean and Chinese university students.BR Method: For the study, 311 Korean university students and 298 Chinese university students were selected as final subjects, excluding unfaithful questionnaires. Collected data were analyzed by frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, independent t-test, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 23.0 program.BR Results: The results were as follows. First, there were some partial but significant differences between Korean and Chinese university students in lifestyle, health promoting behavior, and intention on sport continuance. Second, the relationship between health promoting behavior and intention on sport continuance according to the lifestyle of Korean and Chinese university students was found to be partially different.BR Conclusion: Through this study, it was confirmed that there are significant differences in health promoting behaviors and intention on sport continuance according to the lifestyles of Korean and Chinese college students. These findings are expected to be valuable data for comparative study of Korean and Chinese university students.
