Abstract

Based on the analysis of the dynamics of the gross regional product (GRP) production, the GRP structure and the GRP volume index of the Republic of Crimea, positive and negative aspects of the development of the region's economy have been identified. The tendency of the region's transition to the post-industrial stage of development has been established; a decrease in the share of the raw materials sector and energy in the total volume of investments in fixed assets – industries of previous technological structures, and an increase in the share of funds invested in modern branches of the "new economy", which provide recreational and tourist specialization of the Crimea: activities of hotels and catering enterprises; activities in the field of health and social services.
 The mapping of economic sectors (types of economic activity) of the Republic of Crimea on the basis of signs of competitiveness and technological effectiveness, dynamics of investments and profits, growth of labor productivity and nominal accrued wages of employees allowed us to substantiate the main trends in the development of the economy of the Republic of Crimea and to identify the growth sectors of the regional economy: construction; real estate operations; wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, as well as types of economic activities representing creative industries of the economy based on the production of goods and services through creative activity and management of intellectual property rights. As trends in need of refraction there are highlighted a decrease in the share of the economy of activities in the field of health and social services; education; activities in the field of information and communication; activities in the field of culture, sports, leisure and entertainment; insufficient efficiency of transport development and low share of fixed capital investments in manufacturing industries.
