Abstract

The article gives analysis of the private archive of the Burdukov family kept at the Scientific Archive of the Kalmyk Scientific Center of the RAS. The given archive fund (F. 21) is the Source Studies basis for the research of the life and work of the Russian and Soviet specialists in Mongolian Studies, philologists, researchers, teachers of the Mongolian language and public figures — Aleksey Vasilyevich Burdukov and his daughter Taisia Alekeseyevna. There are original manuscripts of the scientific works of the scholars. The significant part of the works has already been introduced into the scientific circulation. Among the unpublished research works the manuscript of T.A. Burdukova “Regarding Some Important Issues of the Kalmyk Language” is of great interest. The manuscript focuses on the problem of words borrowed from foreign languages (Russian, Tibetan) and the spelling of reduced vowels. The goal of this article is to introduce the handwritten text and give comments on its content.
