Abstract

The advantage of the informational component over all other forms of human activity is now an obvious fact. In such a situation, it is increasingly difficult to distinguish truthful information from misinformation, especially in the media, which by their nature have a powerful influence on the consciousness of millions, namely, audiovisual ones. The European Parliament and the US Government are taking measures to combat distortion of information. Measures are being taken in Ukraine also at the legislative level and in the field of education and upbringing of children. However, today, most Ukrainian and «agents of influence», as well as ordinary users of information, do not yet have tools for detecting misinformation in a powerful information flow, especially for audiovisual communication. Direct information attacks are characterized by distortion of information without significant change in its content, and misinformation is an integral part of the hybrid war. To effectively manipulate public opinion, misinformation can be distributed simultaneously through print media, radio, television, the Internet, rumors, etc., but the television is still a popular channel for receiving information in the most productive and most influential audiovisual form. Today, the potential of technologies for creating a screen performance is used: the nature of the installation, the management of human perception with the plurality of plans, sound, drama to create news content on many television channels, which provides endless possibilities for the exansion of misinformation and manipulation of public opinion. The only existing way to avoid exposing on audience’s subconscious with the help of screen performance technologies is to harsh position of the news service editorial staff to adhere to journalistic standards for filing informational materials of the socio-political news program, which is the calling card of any TV channel.
