Abstract

The study aims to understand the influence of the member’s knowledge sharing intention and behavior via a questionnaire with a statistic and quantitative analysis and framework of rational behavior theory. Convenience sampling was used in the study. There were in total 300 questionnaires sent out and 271 valid questionnaires withdrawn. The valid recovery rate was 90%. The findings are as follows: 1. Knowledge sharing attitude has significant positive influence on knowledge sharing intention. 2. Knowledge sharing attitude has significant positive influence on knowledge sharing behavior. 3. Organizational citizenship behavior has significant positive influence on knowledge sharing intention. 4. Social network does not have significant influence on knowledge sharing intention. 5. Existing stock of knowledge has significant positive influence on knowledge sharing intention. 6. Existing stock of knowledge does not have significant influence on knowledge sharing behavior. 7. Knowledge sharing intention has significant positive influence on knowledge sharing behavior. 8. Different personal, organizational and industry factors are not significantly different in knowledge sharing attitude, organizational citizenship behavior, social network, existing stock of knowledge, knowledge sharing intention and behavior.
