Abstract

Semenova S. N. (Kuban State University, Krasnodar, Russian Federation) In the given article implicity of indirect utterances (on material of american and english authors’ fiction texts) is studied. In this connection texts, in which implicity is present, are investigated.The object of the analysis is monologue and response utterances of dialogue texts. Indirect utterances linguistically are presented by communicative forms of sentences: narrative, interrogative, stimulating.Summing everything up the author shows inner contents and senses of narrative utterances that are interpreted as request, explanation, suggestion, doubt and advice. It is possible to reveal more complete, clear and exact information (that is hidden in utterances) with the help of indirect speech acts containing implicity. A result of implicit sense and its expression in language forms is caused by an effect of economy of thinking principle. The study of indirect utterances with implicit implicative semantic with a complex of opposite analysis of sentences’ communicative types will give new results in description of such phenomenon as a nature of subtext and problems of communicative aim of a sentence related to its formal-grammar structure connected with it.
