Abstract
The article deals with some questions of students’ of the law faculty and students-journalists’ collective professional language personality (LP) competence forming with the help of English. Every language personality is formed on the basis of concrete man’s linguistic knowledge taken from his predecessors. The terms «collective LP»( i.e. some community of people , who speak the given language) and «individual LP» (i.e. a single representative of this community) are widely used in didactics. Collective professional language personality is a generalized language portrait of a professional figure possessing a professional language and following the stereotypes of professional behavior. The main feature of the collective professional language personality is a production of common texts. It is necessary to form a strong collective professional language personality at the University. While forming the professional language personality with the help of on-line newspaper and precedent texts the research knowledge, abilities and skills are formed. Substantial progress in development of professional communicative competence takes place.
