Abstract

The article substantiates the potential of a foreign language for the development of universal values of the individual and determines the techniques, forms and methods that can positively influence the development of students' humanistic values and the improvement of their foreign language skills. The authors believe that universal and humanistic values should take a very important place in the education and upbringing of modern youth. Today, it requires the training of specialists with a high level of intellectual and spiritual development, nationally conscious patriots, and holders of universal values. The future specialist should be the bearer of high spiritual values, based on the priority of humanism and morality. The foreign language course can make its contribution to values education. The communicative component of the subject, its focus on studying and comparing the life, customs, traditions, values of one's own and other people's, provides the teacher with ample opportunities in nurturing civic position, patriotism and high moral qualities. The potential of language is powerful and there is no doubt about the possibility of its influence on the development of universal values of the individual. The purpose of this paper is a brief analysis of the use of the axiological approach in the process of learning foreign languages, as well as substantiation of the potential of language to develop universal values of the individual and determine the techniques, forms and methods of work that ensure the formation of these values in college students.

Аксіологізація процесу навчання іноземних мов виступає необхідною умовою забезпечення гуманістичного спрямування навчально-пізнавальної діяльності студентів-філологів та наразі потребує впровадження творчих ідей викладачів з метою насичення ціннісного компоненту підготовки майбутніх фахівців - викладачів іноземної мови та перекладачів

З огляду на останні події, які відбуваються в Україні, вважаємо, що загальнолюдські та гуманістичні цінності повинні зайняти дуже вагоме місце у навчанні та вихованні сучасної молоді бо в їх руках знаходиться майбутнє країни. Що теорія цінностей може допомогти людині пізнати закони природи і себе, як її частину через свої найбільш значущі цілі, бажання, прагнення. Сьогодення вимагає від вищої школи підготовки фахівців з високим рівнем інтелектуального й духовного розвитку, національно свідомих громадян-патріотів, носіїв загальнолюдських цінностей.
