Abstract

The article reveals the characteristic features of the activity of the well-known Ukrainian composer Fedir Nadenenko as a follower of the traditions of famous representatives of the Ukrainian cultural and artistic school. An attempt is made to display the peculiarities of his composing, performing, publishing and public activity.F. Nadenenko is a musician, virtuoso pianist, profound theorist, experienced musical editor, composer who possessed a great professional technique and a high musical culture. He created a lot and worked productively in the Opera and Ballet House, in the Philarmonic society, on radio, edited works of classics and contemporary composers. His work on editing the 20-volume edition of the works of the classic of the Ukrainian music by M. Lysenko and a great part of works by contemporary Ukrainian composers are worthy of attention.F.Nadenenko’s piano work is represented by the cycle “Akvareli”, which is characterized by lyricism and contemplation. Among the great piano compositions by F. Nadenenko “Suite in the form of ancient dances” (five detailed plays), Balada, the piano cycle “Haydamaky” based on the poem by T. Shevchenko (Nocturne and Intermezzo) – two plays from the cycle were published in Kyiv in 1963. T. Shevchenko’s poem “Haydamaky” deeply stirred up the creative nature of F. Nadenenko, because the composer is considered as a relative of the poet.The article presents a musical and aesthetic analysis of the composer’s piano heritage as well as problems of its creative use in the process of musical education of young people.The creative achievements of the composer F. Nadenenko convincingly testify not only to the achievements of the past which are important for the musical culture of Ukraine. They also show the perspectives of musical creativity in the future due to the performing of his compositions from the concert stage, the study of compositions in the programs of musical schools and their implementation into the programs for musical education in comprehensive schools and art faculties of higher education institutions.
