Abstract

The Islamic extremist terrorism becomes widespread in various regions of the globe including North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia. The North Korean confidence driven by its acquisition of nuclear weapon could be associate with terrorist attacks of North Korea. Besides, as seen in the recent incident of Las Vegas shooting spree, An individual with no specific political, social, and religious motivations could launch a violent terrorist attack. As a response to the possibility of domestic terrorist attack, it seems meaningful to examine the current terror alert system, to assess its limits, and to propose some ideas. This article has such purposes. Particularly, here the US terror alert system and its revision is examined to draw references because the current terror alert system is similar to the prior US terror alert system introduced after 9.11.
