Abstract

The calculation method of system reliability parameters using the distribution of cosine to describe gradual component failure in the conditions of uncertainty has been presented. The most typical ways of connecting elements in systems have been considered. They are: 1) serial; 2) a single constant redundancy when the main element and the redundant are in the same conditions (in the load conditions) and perform the same functions at the same time; 3) a single stand-by redundancy, when the failed main element is replaced by the redundant (being in unload conditions before) with the help of a switch, and which starts to perform the functions of the main element. The examples of system reliability calculation have been presented. It is noted, that using the distribution of cosine, the problem of calculating system reliability parameters for the considered ways of connecting aging type elements can be solved in analytical form.
