Abstract

The present essay aims at defining inceptively the biblical view and exegetical method of ‘ACTS Theological Synopsis’ movement. First, it critically examines the scientific accuracy of the so-called ‘historical-critical method’ that is commonly utilized by the modern Western and Eastern academic theology. This section gives special attention to the theological arguments of Dr. C.-H. Han who proposed the ‘ACTS Theological Synopsis’ as well as those of the two German New Testament scholars, Eta Linnemann and Gerhard Maier. Second, it suggests, on the basis of the foregoing critical consideration, some basic presuppositions and principles of our approach to the Bible in ‘ACTS Theological Synopsis’.
