Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the experience and meaning of walking in the daily lives of female elementary school teachers through self-study. In the study, my walking diarywas used as data, and it was analyzed by an inductive category analysis method. Walking in daily life strengthens positive emotions, solves various problems, serves as a communication channel with the students, and provides power for educational growth through the reflection on one’s own classes and life. In this study, a female elementary school teacher extracted theeducational meaning from her experience of walking in her personal life and the life of a teacher. Walking in daily life was helpful for the teacher’s reflecting on teaching and life, maintainingpositive relationships with the students, and resolving various conflict issues that appear during the teaching process.
