Abstract
The role of physical and mathematical disciplines in the formation of professional competencies of ecologists is considered. The main provisions of the program of scientific and methodological research of the Department of General and Medical Physics of International Sakharov Environmental Institute of Belarusian State University on the use of information and communication technologies in distance teaching of physical and mathematical disciplines in the training of environmental specialists. The results and prospects of the research are discussed.
