Abstract
In educational process interaction represents a complex activity involving teacher and students. Such type of interaction is characterized by cooperation aimed at common educational goals. Nowadays, however, competence of professional social interaction is widely recognized not only as one of the key elements of higher education, but also as a part of professional set of skills. There are several approaches to the competence of professional interaction that dominate the discourse. Nevertheless it is the competence framework that explains the current processes of standardization in educational sphere. Various representatives of this approach outline different criteria and requirements for professional social interaction. In this article the author operates within the framework of I.A. Zimnaya when defining such notions as “interaction”, “communication” in terms of professional activities.
