The author of the study has spent a long time in educating and caring high-risk children in local school and also has served as a promoter for the seedings cultivating camp. She, therefore, deeply understands the contributions and devotions many volunteers made to make such camp a success. Deeply moved by their devotions to the camp, the author decided to interview with four of these volunteers to better understand their personalities, their birth families, their education and employment records, their marriages and how did they join volunteer service in the first place as well as the important moments during their service in the seedings cultivating camp. By doing so, the author tries to understand and tell the life stories of these volunteers. The results of the study have shown: 一、 The volunteers joined the seedings cultivating camp for three main reasons A: a born-nature to help the others; B: inspired by some incidents to do volunteer works; C: inspired by friends to join the camp. 二、 The experience in the seedings cultivating camp have taught them A: to find their own value; B: to realize the meaning of accompanying others; C: a self-less devotion, a training that brings joy to themselves. 三、 Obstacles that could prevent them from continuing volunteer works A: could not find their roles in the camp; B: students have shown extreme behaviors that made them want to quit. 四、 They continue to offer volunteer service because: A: the love and education they received from their birth-families; B: a nature to help others; C: they have witnessed the changes on students because of them; D: strong support showed by fellow volunteers. 五、 The volunteer works in the seedings cultivating camp taught them to: A: change their mind set that lead to a brighter future for themselves; B: the meaningful job gives joy to them; C: enriched their lives; D: learn to cherish their own lives. The study shows that these volunteers have not only brightened the lives of high-risk children but also helped to make a warmer campus and community so that more people can learn feel the warm. The author of the study hopes that the study can inspire more to devote into volunteer works in helping the unprivileged children, guiding them into a brighter future.
