Abstract

This study was conducted to observe the effect of resistance exercise intensity and amount of resistant exercise on exercise-induced rhabdomyolysis indicators according to maximum strength level. The repeated measure tow-way ANOVA was conducted and the results were as follows. The results of LMSG showed that the LDH and myoglobin expression levels were significantly increased in the 80% 1RM × 8reps × 3set and 40% 1RM × 16reps × 6set experiments after 2 or 24 hours of training, At the time of blood sampling, LDH and myoglobin expression was significantly higher than 40% 1RM × 16reps × 3set. In addition, AST showed a pleasant increase in the AST expression level at 24 hours after training than in the immediately after training in all experiments except 40% 1RM × 16reps × 3set. At 24 hours after training, 80% 1RM × 8reps × 6set, 40% 1RM × 16reps × 6set, respectively. The results of LMSG showed that LDH, myoglobin, and AST expression levels were significantly increased at 2 hours or 24 hours after training at 80% 1RM × 8reps × 6set. In addition, LDH, myoglobin, and AST levels were highest at 80% 1RM × 8reps × 6set at 24 hours after training. This suggests that even though the maximum muscle strength level is excellent, a large amount of exercise with high intensity may cause muscle damage.
