Гиперборейцы в Греции. Опис, Арга и другие посланники богов-близнецов

Abstract

The article analyzes the messages of ancient Greek and Latin authors about visits to ancient Greece by natives of the legendary country of Hyperborea, traditionally associated with the image of Apollo. Particular attention is paid to the figures of the Hyperborean gift-givers Arga (Hecaërge) and Opis, who established the cult of Artemis and Apollo on Delos. It is noted that their names as written by Greek authors are the epithets of Apollo and Artemis. The evolution of both images of virgins gift-givers and the epithets of twin gods in a historical and religious context is analyzed.
