Abstract

In this paper, I have chosen to present an issue, which has direct relevance to the strengthening and development of the Greek economy. First, I will develop the concepts of bioeconomy, green growth and the blue economy, terms, that have been widely used in last decade years, by public officials and journalists in the media, and need clarification and separation, but we will also see what is the relation between the terms. Followed by that, I will look at the framework for establishing a bioeconomic strategy at national level, Greece's relationship with the green and blue economy, and the opportunities that these sectors give to our country to increase investment and thus the country's per capita income. The need for equal opportunities, mainly between the north and the south, led the EU to establish a series of Support Frameworks for weak economies such as the Greek one. Ι will examine the impact of the Support Framework on the Greek economy. Ι will present co-financed programs to support the Greek economy in terms of green growth and their contribution and effectiveness. Finally, we will look at the results of the questionnaires to businesses and individuals on green financing, their satisfaction with the financial tools offered, and the level of consciousness and awareness of environmental issues.
