Abstract

Purpose: In this study, the importance of exercise as an alternative to active health behaviors in the era of living with Coronavirus, the role of exercise science and the future of development were discussed based on previous studies.<BR> Method: For this study, previous studies were searched and analyzed. The databases of PubMed and KCI were searched by combining keywords such as Covid-19, exercise science, health, and evidence-based. Then classified and systematically analyzed according to the purpose of the study.<BR> Results: For exercise science to play a pivotal role in the era of COVID-19, first, conceptual development and establishment of exercise medicine based on scientific evidence, and at the same time constructing and DB of a lot of high-quality data, are based on the development of an education-field link platform that leads to the field. It will require development and application. The second is the active use of remote systems using various IT technologies that have recently been developed. Efforts are needed to preoccupy a theoretical and technological edge in the expanding market by actively utilizing XR beyond VR and AR in connection with the metaverse. Actual outcomes should be derived from this goal, so that they may be felt by many people, through activating practical convergence with various academic fields. Furthermore, it is critical to develop appropriate abilities through education and actively promote developed technologies or ideas such that body system activation through exercise is an important means of protecting the human body against various infections.<BR> Conclusion: Exercise science will be able to play a significant role in the creation of new values and developments in people’s perceptions, improving competency, and assuming responsibility for one’s own health in the post-COVID-19 era when it achieves that level of expertise and development.
