The axiological parallel of Franko – the present is drawn. The article analyses Ivan Franko’s views on the axiological aspects of the educational impact of family and school. The issue of moral formation of the personality in education is no less important than the question of social formation. An in-depth theoretical analysis of the problem shows that the socialization component of the pedagogical process and the moral formation of young people cannot be considered separately. These processes are interconnected. Moreover, they complement and reinforce each other. Human and moral convictions are in some sense the basis of value-centered social orientation, and sociality acts as one of the fundamental modes of personal involvement in social and moral practice. The urgency of introducing Ivan Franko’s humanistic ideas into the process of education, learning and personal development is substantiated. The article proves the importance of reforming social institutions of the society as key outposts of forming the educational space. Franko argues that the improvement of the institutional branch of the society should take into account all the challenges and demands of society, and the functioning of social institutions should be organic, balanced and complementary. It is substantiated that one of the most important tasks of modern education should be the creation of conditions for young people in the mechanisms of self-development, self-education, adaptation, self-regulation and self-realization of each person in the educational space, capable of learning throughout life and developing the values of any civil society. These qualities, according to Ivan Franko, should be the key factors in a constantly evolving and demanding world.
