Abstract

Author defines the tendencies of image formation of countries in the modern world. Four approaches to factors determination of the image of the country are considered: by Galumov E., Prudnikov L., Dauling G., Gavra D. and Savitskaya A. The main subjects of the formation of the political image of the state are outlined, among which the key institutions of power are singled out: president (presidential administration), legislative branch (parliament), executive branch of government (government itself), judicial branch, political parties, local government. Determination of the general model of formation of a positive image of the state, its factors and structure allows to outline the main mechanisms involved in the model, according to the version of Erast Galumov. The external factors of construction of the state international image are revealed. This article says that the external factors caused by modern tendencies of strengthening the impact of the international environment and international standards on the domestic policy of the state influence on the formation and transformation of the international image of the state. Among the external factors that directly or indirectly influence the formation of the image of the country, the author of the article indicates: world standards, stereotypes, international environmental movements and human rights organizations, citizens of a country living abroad, the tourist sphere, the activities of diplomatic missions, other foreign affairs agencies, cultural and educational centers abroad, political technology. Today the problem of the image of the state creation in the media is becoming more significant. In this context, the issue of development and implementation of the information policy by the state becomes particularly important, and the model of formation of the positive image of the country should be outlined and implemented in the state strategy for the short-term or long-term perspective.
