Research materials: the communicemas obtained by the method of continuous sampling from the works of Komi fiction. Results and novelty of the research: for the first time the article comprehensively analyzes the communicemas with the function of motivation in the Komi language, their semantic and pragmatic features are described. The communicemas with the semantics of motivation serve as the signals of intentions of an addressee and implicitly express his wills. With their help, a communicant achieves the desired action from an addressee, assuming a directive role. In addition to direct expression of will, these constructions most often contain the expressive and emotionally-evaluative component that is easily read by an interlocutor. The communicemas with the semantics of motivation are expressive means of language and are actively used in colloquial dialogic speech; they are distinguished by laconic form and capacity. The article presents the classification of these language units, and identifies the models for construction of the most commonly used communicemas with studied semantics. The results of the work can be used in courses on the syntax of the Komi language.
