Abstract

As a result of three years of research, valuable lines have been identified for a complex of economically valuable features that are donors of important indicators. The starting material for the selection of varieties with well-developed inflorescences were: L-35/17, L-43/14, L-44/14, L-57/14, L-66/14, L-91/14, L-130/14 (23.9-27.1 cm), which exceeded the Volzhskoe 44 standard by 31.3-49.8% in terms of feature value; for breeding of coarse-grained varieties (by weight of 1000 seeds) , L-62/14, L-80/14, L-91/14, L-98/14, L-130/14, L-132/14, L-138/17, L-o-170/18 (35.0-39.9 g), the excess of the attribute value over the standards was 12.9-28.6%; for the selection of high-yielding grain (5.05-6.68 t/ha) and biomass (17.84–19.63 t/ha) lines L-35/17, L-80/14, L-95/14, L-112/14, L-121/14. A significant variation in the starch content in grain samples was found: from 72.09% (L-252/16) up to 77.30% (L-112/14) with starch content at the standards of 70.70% (Start) and 72.41% (Volzhskoe 44). Productive samples with the highest theoretical yield of grain starch were identified: L-35/17 (3.33 t/ha), L-112/14 (3.40 t/ha) and L-121/14 (4.29 t/ha).
