Abstract

The article aims to reveal the essence and functional characteristics of conflict discourse. Originality of the paper lies in the fact that conflict discourse is analysed as a modifier of discursive characteristics of institutional and person-oriented discourse: spatial-temporal parameters, communicants’ discursive roles and purposes. The research objective is as follows: to identify and describe the mechanism of discursive space transformation in the situation of conflict. The findings indicate that conflict discourse correlates with quasi-reality, which explains existence of archetypal communicative practices, conventional nature of discursive informative value and adequacy.
