Abstract
The Obstacles Of Applying The Total Educational Quality Standards At The University Of Science And Technology Of Yemen. From The Perspectives Of Staff Abstract The aim of this study is to find out the obstacles of applying the total educational quality standards at the University of Science and Technology. It has been returned to previous studies and reviewed the obstacles in them, as well as it has been returned to the concepts of the total educational quality. Depending on these reviews, the obstacles from the perspectives of staff in five areas have been collected. The area of these obstacles are performance obstacles in the educational process, performance obstacles in the scientific research field, performance obstacles in community service, performance obstacles in the university administration, and obstacles associated with the organizational aspects. Such areas were organized in questionnaire. The questionnaire has been abbreviated in 36 items and spread over the above areas, which are associated closely with quality and faculty member. The sample of the study have been identified from the faculty members in five colleges, which are engineering, medical sciences, management, information technology, and the humanities. 79 questionnaires have been collected from faculty's members in selected collages. Finding of the study identified the most important obstacles that prevent the application of the total quality standards at the University of Science and Technology, from the perspectives of the staff are related to scientific research with mean of 3.89, then came the obstacles related to community service with mean of 3.61. Furthermore, there are no statistically significant differences in identifying obstacles to the application of the total educational quality. The researcher came up a set of recommendations, that are related to scientific research interest in terms of creating the conditions, means and encouragement to faculty's members.
