Abstract

Since around 2000 years, plenty of historical materials have been digitized in various formats in the field of Korean history. Due to the structural transition from the era with limited access to an era of infinite information access, Korean history research faces challenges in many ways. The purpose of this paper is to find a way to actively cope with the challenges Korean history research faces in the big data and the digital era. It is intended to present a new research paradigm that converges digital technology while maintaining the value of existing qualitative research in Korean history research. This paper presents the quantitative research methodology based on digital history that the AIRG(Ajou Interdisciplinary Research Group) has tried so far as called it ‘digital history’.
