Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of the verbalization specificity of the concept sphere RELIGION, concept TEMPLE in particular, which is presented in «Galician-Russian folk sayings». The topicality of the analysis is motivated by the insufficient study of I. Franko’s real input in Ukrainian paroemias investigation and absence of studies on the verbalization of religious concepts in Ukrainian paroemias. The aim of the article is to investigate peculiar features of verbalizing the concept TEMPLE in paroemias that comprise «Galician-Russian folk sayings». Apart from a completely critical verbalization of concepts PRIEST and positive concept GOD, in paroemian world mapping the marked concept is estimated in the ambi-valanced way with the actualization of both positive and negative senses: deferential relation to church as God’s dwelling is typical for Ukrainians. It does not deny the possibility to use a lexeme-verbalizor church in paroemian row with the negative and ironical connotation. The leading role belongs to I. Franko in the adequate perception and use of this or that paroemian unit. Key words: verbalization, concept sphere RELIGION, concept, paroemia, paroemian world mapping.
