Abstract

Background: Solving the problem of social responsibility in the activities of all participants in economic and social life in Ukraine involves the use of positive international experience in this area. This paper considers the activities of a particular Ukrainian enterprise operating in the field of IT technologies and being a division of the transnational corporation NASDAQ, as a successful example of implementing the principles of social responsibility in the practice of doing business in Ukraine. Purpose: To establish, based on the analysis of open documents of the NASDAQ corporation and the activities of its Lviv office, the real components of corporate social responsibility practiced by this corporation in Ukraine. Methods: Methods of substantive analysis of available documents of the NASDAQ corporation and its Lviv office. Results: The NASDAQ Corporation demonstrates activities in Ukraine that can be called fully compliant with the principles of corporate social responsibility. The corporation's activities testify to the reality of corporate social responsibility both within the scope of ensuring internal social responsibility and in what concerns international relations, in particular, this is evidenced by the corporation's behavior in the direction of responding to the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. Conclusion: In conclusion, the example of the activity of the Lviv office of the transnational corporation NASDAQ convincingly proves that corporate social responsibility is an important component of modern business, and companies that adhere to the principles of CSR can carry out their activities more effectively, contributing to the development of not only their financial interests, but also social and economic development of the country Keywords: corporate social responsibility, NASDAQ corporation, social protection of employees.
