Abstract

The article considered the prospects of political and economic cooperation between China and Ukraine in the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative. This initiative is a global strategy for infrastructure development and trade and economic partnership between China and other countries. The positive and negative aspects of possible political cooperation between Ukraine and China in the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative and the historical preconditions of such a partnership are analyzed. Future prospects and main vectors for further development of cooperation between Ukraine and China have been identified. It is proved that cooperation between Ukraine and China in the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative can be mutually beneficial for both countries. By participating in such an initiative, Ukraine can contribute to the creation of a new world economic order, and postponing the definition of priorities in this area may lead to the removal of Ukraine from a profitable partnership and, consequently, the lack of economic growth in Ukraine. It is stated that Ukraine can be one of China's key partners due to its great industrial, scientific and technological potential, as well as its geographical location. These factors coincide with the global ideas of the Belt and Road Initiative, and Ukraine has great chances to be a part of new political and economic globalization.
